“What remains”, by Emanuela Amici, has an unoriginal plot and is written in an elegant but conventional way. But it has the advantage of being read quickly and pointing the finger at complex family relationships, often masked by a veneer of normality. More than the intertwining of “unspoken”, acknowledgments and domestic twists, the relationship between the two sisters stands out.
