Enrico Mayer (1802–1877) — from Livorno, with a German father and a French mother, member of the Accademia Labronica, pedagogue and founder of schools, friend of Mazzini, Vieusseux, Angelica Palli, Byron — together with Gino Capponi and Piero Bastogi, bought in London, for 60 lire, some papers belonging to Ugo Foscolo.
