The ordeal of social phobia

Five years of high school. Humanities studies during which I blossomed. I was good, I studied, I wrote well. The professors liked me and I was respected by my classmates. Lots of new friends, even if I didn’t go out much because my parents were strict and I was very shy. Here begins the ordeal of social phobia, the one that made me suddenly flounder, blush, tremble, sweat, feel clumsy, awkward and unable. The one that already prevented me from imagining a future work, from leaving school if a boy came to pick me up. I remember the first party, the first guy who asked me to get together, me saying no with my ears buzzing and my cheeks on fire.
