Treves’ guide

From page 260 to page 263 of the Guide dedicated to central Italy, published in 1902 by the Treves brothers, we read about Livorno.
There is an introduction from which we learn that the inhabitants are 96937. We then go on to list the hotels, restaurants, cafes, tramways, theaters etc.
In particular, the Bagni di Mare are mentioned. The most famous, we read, are the Pancaldi to which “a hydrotherapy…
